The Walser are an ancient alpine community who gave life to Macugnaga. Their costumes, traditions and buildings are still today part of the village and evoce their charm even after several centuries.
With our local guides you will discover the old village, the “Dorf”, visit its old church and the centennail holy tree. You will also visit the ancient buildings and ancient bakeries.
Your visit will continue to the old Walser house, a building of thoso times, nowadays a museum, where you are going to learn and see how these people from the mountains used to live.
